Junk Removal in Lakewood, CO — Lakewood Bin Pros

Junk Removal across the west Denver metro

Junk removal is the other half of what we do. Instead of dropping a container and coming back in a week, a crew shows up, loads what you point at, and hauls it off. It suits the jobs where the problem is labor rather than volume: a single couch or appliance, a garage of heavy furniture, an estate cleanout, a rental the tenant left full, an office of desks and shelving, storm debris, leftover renovation junk. You point to the items, and we take care of the rest.

It matters here because nobody else picks up the big stuff for free. We found no Lakewood bulky item pickup: the City says bulky items not suitable for reuse can be picked up for a fee by your waste hauler or a junk removal company, and that dumping bulky waste in city alleys or on private property is illegal. The rule of thumb on the phone: if it is a few items or a couple of pickup loads and you want it gone soon, call the crew. If it is a whole house or a job that will take you more than a day to sort, a self-load dumpster on the driveway is usually the better deal. We run both.

At a glance

What you get with junk removal

  • A crew that does the loading, hauling and disposal
  • Upfront pricing based on volume, labor and material
  • Furniture, mattresses, appliances with proper preparation, household junk, renovation debris, office furniture and electronics
  • Same-day or next-day service in many cases, depending on availability
  • Usable furniture and household items donated, and metal, cardboard and construction materials recycled whenever possible
  • A self-load roll-off on the driveway instead if you would rather load it yourself

Cleanouts, turnovers and the one-off pile

Estate and rental property cleanouts are the biggest category: the furniture nobody wants, the appliances, the garage, attic and basement full of boxes. Property management jobs are next — tenant move-outs and eviction cleanups. Then the one-off pile: the couch, the mattress, leftover renovation debris, fallen branches and damaged materials after a storm.

For businesses it is offices, warehouses and retail stores — desks, chairs, shelving and the electronics that Colorado keeps out of its landfills (C.R.S. 25-17-303), so they go to recycling. Tell us the access window and we will work to it.

Junk removal or a dumpster — which is better?

A rough rule: if the job is a few items or a couple of pickup loads and you want it gone quickly, call the crew — full-service junk removal is priced on volume and labor. If it is a renovation, a yard, a job site or a multi-day cleanout, a roll-off on the driveway is usually better value because you load it at your own pace and it is priced flat on size. Custom jobs, including multiple loads or large cleanouts, are quoted on request. We will say which on the phone — we do both.

Junk removal — the local specifics

Most of the west metro's own programs stop short of a real cleanout. Lakewood runs no bulky item pickup that we found. Denver's Solid Waste Management collects large items every nine weeks, up to five items and ten bags, but takes no construction materials, appliances, stumps or dirt. Wheat Ridge's free Large Item Drop-Off is a scheduled event with a five-item limit per household, Edgewater reimburses up to two special-item pickups a year, and Westminster does not offer a large item pickup program. Colorado bars electronic devices — computers, printers, TVs, monitors, laptops and tablets — from landfills (C.R.S. 25-17-303), and fridges, freezers and A/C units need their refrigerant recovered under federal EPA rules (40 CFR 82.155). Household hazardous waste goes to Rooney Road Recycling Center by appointment for residents of Lakewood and its partner jurisdictions; businesses pay a separate, higher rate there. Junk removal is for the pile that cannot wait for any of that. Usable furniture and household items go to donation, and metal, cardboard and construction materials to recycling centers, whenever possible.

Answers

Junk Removal — your questions answered

How is junk removal priced?

Full-service junk removal is priced on the volume, the labor involved and the type of material. You get a clear quote upfront, so there are no surprises. Describe the pile, or email a photo, and we will give you a number.

Do I need to be there?

For the first visit, usually — someone needs to point at what goes and what stays. After that, a gate code and a phone number usually do it.

Can you take appliances?

Yes — appliances with proper preparation. Fridges, freezers and A/C units hold refrigerant, which federal EPA rules require to be recovered before disposal (40 CFR 82.155), so tell us what the appliance is when you book and we tell you any cost up front.

Do you take electronics and TVs?

Yes, along with office furniture and shelving. Colorado bars electronic devices — computers, printers, monitors, TVs, laptops and tablets — from landfills (C.R.S. 25-17-303), so they go to recycling rather than the trash.

How fast can a crew come?

Same-day or next-day service is available in many cases around Lakewood, depending on availability. Call early in the day for the best chance of today.
