Roll-off dumpster rental in Arvada

Approx. 6 road miles from the yard, around 12 minutes.

Arvada is approx. 6 road miles north of the yard, around 12 minutes — same-day or next-day, depending on availability; call early in the day for the best chance of same-day. It is a city of 124,402 at the 2020 Census: 121,510 in Jefferson County and 2,892 in Adams County.

The City says the formal notice of the new town was posted on December 1, 1870, and that it incorporated in 1904. Arvada runs organized residential hauling through a City contract, but its code says nothing stops anyone contracting for or hauling their own waste (§90-34), and construction and demolition contractors must provide on-site containers for loose debris and containerize it by the end of each day (§90-2). That is roll-off work.

Local knowledge

Getting our bearings in Arvada

Knowing a city properly is the difference between covering it and showing up with the right box.

  • Containers on every job site — all construction and demolition contractors must provide on-site waste containers and containerize loose debris by the end of each day (§90-2).
  • Bulky Item events — the City's drop-off events at the North Area Athletic Complex have a five-item limit and want construction debris bagged, with proof of residency.
  • Two counties — most of Arvada is in Jefferson County, with a small part in Adams County. City rules apply on both sides of the line.
  • Household hazardous waste — Arvada residents use the Rooney Road Recycling Center, with a resident discount; it is open by appointment only.

What comes out of Arvada properties

Roofs in 10s and 20s, kitchens and baths in 20s, multi-room remodels and estate clean-outs in 30s, construction and demolition in 30s and 40s, and a 10 or 15 for concrete, brick and dirt — weight restrictions keep heavy loads in the smaller boxes. On a building job, the container is what keeps a contractor right with §90-2. Colorado bans waste electronics (C.R.S. 25-17-303), lead-acid batteries (C.R.S. 30-20-1002) and used oil (C.R.S. 30-20-1005) from landfills, and fridges and A/C units need the refrigerant recovered first (40 CFR 82.155).

Permits, placement and who may haul in Arvada

Who may haul — the rule that matters: §90-51(a) makes it unlawful to operate solid waste, recyclable or compostable materials collection within the city without a trash hauler's licence, and the code's definition of a hauler includes anyone who collects, transports or disposes of construction and demolition materials for another (§90-1). Construction and demolition contractors and landscapers hauling waste from their own work are exempt. The City's residential contract does not stop anyone contracting for their own hauling (§90-34). We found no exclusive roll-off franchise. We're licensed and insured.

In the street: any work in the public right-of-way needs a permit, and work includes any use or storage of equipment or materials; trash dumpsters are not placed in the street without the director's specific approval (§78-306(c)(3)). The City's Dumpster Permit page says the container company must apply and must hold a City of Arvada Municipal General Contractor licence; containers can stay 30 days without a building permit or 120 with one, plus one 30-day extension in 12 months, at least 35 feet from a corner and 5 feet from a driveway, clear of hydrants, storm drains and manholes.

On your driveway: the City's permit is for the right-of-way, and its page says a private driveway needs none. That is the simple spot, and our crew confirms it with you at drop-off.

Knocking something down: Colorado requires an inspection by a Colorado-certified asbestos inspector and a CDPHE demolition notice ten working days before any demolition starts, homes included, even if no asbestos is found (AQCC Regulation 8). Asbestos never goes in our containers — tell us if the survey finds any.

Summarized from the city's published code and web pages as read in October 2026. Codes change — confirm with the department listed before you rely on it.

How it works

Booking a dumpster in Arvada

Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.

  1. 1

Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask the location, what you are clearing — a cleanout, a renovation, a roof, a yard, a job site — roughly how much there is, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us.

  2. 2

We size it and quote it flat

You get one number that covers delivery, pickup, disposal, the standard rental period and an included weight allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so. If it is concrete, shingles or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size.

  3. 3

    Delivered where you want it

The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site where you asked, on a hard surface rather than the lawn. Often same-day or next-day, depending on availability. You do not need to be home.

  4. 4

    Load it on your schedule

Keep it below the top edge and keep the banned items out — paint and solvents, chemicals, oil and fuel, batteries, tires, propane tanks and gas cylinders, medical waste, asbestos, and TVs, computers and other electronics. Need more time or a swap mid-job? One call.

  5. 5

We haul it and dispose of it right

The load is covered or secured and goes to an approved facility, with metal, concrete, cardboard and yard debris recycled through local Colorado facilities whenever possible. You get your driveway back the way you left it.

Local answers

Dumpster rental in Arvada — common questions

Is Arvada same-day?

Same-day or next-day, depending on availability — it is about 12 minutes from the yard. Call (720) 370-8548 early in the day for the best chance.

Can I hire my own hauler if the City handles my trash?

Yes. Arvada code says nothing in the trash chapter stops anyone contracting for or hauling their own waste (Sec. 90-34).

Do I need a permit for a dumpster on an Arvada street?

Yes. A dumpster in the City right-of-way needs a City permit, pulled by the container company, for 30 days without a building permit or 120 with one (Sec. 78-306; City Dumpster Permit page). A private driveway needs none.

Do contractors have to use a dumpster in Arvada?

Arvada requires construction and demolition contractors to provide on-site containers and containerize loose debris by the end of each day (Sec. 90-2).
