Roll-Off Dumpster Rental across the west Denver metro
Every job we do is a roll-off: a large, open-top rectangular container that a specialized truck rolls onto your driveway or job site, that sits there while you fill it, and that goes back on the truck when you call. It is temporary — one project, one delivery and one pickup — and then it is gone. This page is about the box itself — the sizes, the weight, the space it needs and the price — for anyone who just wants to know what they are renting.
The yard is at 1510 Kendall St, Lakewood, CO 80214 — inside Lakewood city limits in Jefferson County, about a block off West Colfax. Approximate road miles from the yard: Edgewater about 1, Wheat Ridge about 2, central Lakewood about 3, downtown Denver about 5, Arvada and Applewood about 6, Westminster about 8, Sheridan and Bow Mar about 9, Englewood about 10, Golden about 11, Morrison, Littleton and Columbine about 13 and Ken Caryl about 14.

How a roll-off works
The truck backs in and rolls the container onto the spot you agreed. You load it over the open top, keeping everything below the top edge — level debris travels safely and avoids additional charges. Spread the load evenly. Call when it is done; the truck comes back, loads it and hauls it, covered or secured as Colorado law requires (C.R.S. 42-4-1407).
Space is the thing to check before you book: a flat, stable surface such as a driveway or pavement, about 60 feet of space for truck access, and at least 25 feet of overhead clearance. Power lines, tree branches, parked cars, bins and equipment are the usual obstacles. In Lakewood, keep it off the grass — the code wants dumpsters on an improved all-weather surface (§8.14.025(D)). If you will not be home, mark the spot or send us a photo.
What the flat price includes
Flat-rate pricing that includes delivery, pickup, disposal within the included weight and the rental period. Rentals around Lakewood typically range from about $350 to $750, depending on the dumpster size, the type and weight of the material, the delivery location, how long you keep it and the number of pickups or exchanges. Two things can add to it: going over the included weight, when an additional fee may apply based on weight, and keeping the container past the rental period, at an additional fee. We explain all of it on the first call. No hidden fees.

Roll-off rental around Lakewood — where the loads go
Every load goes to a facility that is allowed to take it. Lakewood says all garbage, trash and refuse must go to a state-approved sanitary landfill or an approved solid waste collection and transfer facility (§8.14.040), and its licensed haulers must use a state or federally approved site (§5.29.130). What stays out of the box matters as much: Colorado bars electronic devices from landfills (C.R.S. 25-17-303) and residentially generated lead-acid batteries and used oil from land disposal (C.R.S. 30-20-1002, 30-20-1005), and sends waste tires to tire collectors and processors (C.R.S. 30-20-1414); anyone hauling ten or more waste tires in a load must register with the state (C.R.S. 30-20-1408). Recyclable material has local outlets too — Lakewood's Quail Street Recycling Center, 1068 Quail St, takes sorted cardboard, scrap metal, cans, paper, glass and plastic bottles free and is open to everyone (no trailers), and Jefferson County's SLASH yards take tree limbs but not lumber or stumps. On the road, every load is covered or secured so nothing blows, drops, sifts or leaks off the truck (C.R.S. 42-4-1407; Lakewood Code §§9.30.020, 10.54.050). We price it flat either way.

Answers
Roll-Off Dumpster Rental — your questions answered
What is the difference between a roll-off and a regular dumpster?
A regular dumpster is a permanent container emptied on a route. A roll-off is a temporary open-top container delivered for a project and hauled away when you are done. Roll-offs are what we do.
How full can I load it?
Below the top edge, no higher. Keeping debris level ensures safe transport and avoids additional charges, and uneven weight makes hauling unsafe. If you need more room, call and we can swap it for an empty one.
Do I need to be home for delivery?
No. As long as we have clear placement instructions and the area is accessible and free of obstacles, the driver places it where you asked. Same for pickup.
How quickly can you deliver?
Often same-day or next-day, depending on availability. Call early in the day for the best chance of same-day.
Can I not just haul it to the landfill myself?
You can. Check first that the site takes your material, and cover or secure the load — Colorado law requires it for any load that could blow, drop or leak, and trash loads need a tarp, a cover or equivalent securement (C.R.S. 42-4-1407). Sorted cardboard, metal and bottles can go free to Lakewood's Quail Street Recycling Center (no trailers), and clean tree limbs to Jefferson County's SLASH yards. A roll-off is the option when the job is more than a couple of trips, or you would rather not make them.
What does a roll-off cost in Lakewood?
Rentals typically range from about $350 to $750 depending on the project, with no hidden fees. You get a flat rate up front that includes delivery, pickup, disposal, the rental period and the included weight for the size you pick — about 1 to 2 tons on a 10 yard up to 5 to 6 on a 40. Call (720) 370-8548 with the address and what is going in and you will have a number before you hang up.
