Roll-off dumpster rental in Columbine
Approx. 13 road miles from the yard, around 25 minutes.
Columbine is approx. 13 road miles south of the yard, around 25 minutes — same-day or next-day, depending on availability; call early in the day for the best chance of same-day. It is an unincorporated Census-designated place of 25,229 at the 2020 Census: 23,247 in Jefferson County and 1,982 in Arapahoe County. There is no city government, so county rules apply.
Columbine is not the same place as Columbine Valley. The Town of Columbine Valley is a separate incorporated town of 1,502 in Arapahoe County, and its code makes the Town the sole agency for the collection and disposal of garbage and waste matter there (Columbine Valley §8.16.030). We do not serve the Town of Columbine Valley. This page covers the Columbine CDP only.
Local knowledge
Getting our bearings in Columbine
Knowing a city properly is the difference between covering it and showing up with the right box.
- Not Columbine Valley — the Town of Columbine Valley is a separate town with its own sole-agency waste rule (§8.16.030). We do not serve it.
- Littleton mailing addresses — many Columbine homes have a Littleton address but are in unincorporated Jefferson County, not the City of Littleton.
- Two counties — most of the CDP is in Jefferson County; a small part is in Arapahoe County, where the County says trash and recycling are handled by private companies.
- Household hazardous waste — unincorporated Jefferson County is a member of the Rooney Road Recycling Center authority; the center at 151 S. Rooney Rd, Golden, is open by appointment only.

What comes out of Columbine properties
Roofs in 10s and 20s, kitchens and baths in 20s, yard clean-ups in 15s and 20s, estate clean-outs in 30s, and a 10 or 15 for concrete, brick and dirt — weight restrictions keep heavy loads in the smaller boxes. Colorado bans waste electronics (C.R.S. 25-17-303), lead-acid batteries (C.R.S. 30-20-1002) and used oil (C.R.S. 30-20-1005) from landfills, and waste tires go only to a tire collector, processor or monofill (C.R.S. 30-20-1414).

Sizes
Choosing a container size in Columbine
Weight is what usually decides the size, not how much room the pile takes up.

| 10 Yard Dumpster | about 14 ft long × 7.5 ft wide × 3.5 ft high | about 3 pickup truck loads | 1–2 tons | Small kitchen and bathroom remodels, garage and single-room cleanouts, roofing projects with shingles, and concrete, tile, asphalt and rock within the weight limit. |
| 15 Yard Dumpster | about 16 ft long × 7.5 ft wide × 4.5 ft high | about 4–5 pickup truck loads | 2–3 tons | Multi-room and garage cleanouts, kitchen and bathroom remodels, flooring and carpet removal, roofing projects, yard cleanup and landscaping, and small deck or fence removal. |
| 20 Yard Dumpster | about 22 ft long × 7.5 ft wide × 4.5 ft high | about 6 pickup truck loads | 3–4 tons | Whole-home cleanouts, kitchen and bathroom remodels, multi-room renovations, roofing projects, large landscaping jobs and light demolition with mixed construction debris. |

Permits, placement and who may haul in Columbine
Who may haul — the rule that matters: the Columbine CDP has no town government. We found no hauler licence or franchise in Jefferson County or Arapahoe County, and no county trash service. The Town of Columbine Valley's sole-agency rule (§8.16.030) applies only inside that separate town, which we do not serve. We're licensed and insured.
In the street (Jefferson County part): a dumpster on a county street needs a $50 Jefferson County container permit, plus 2.5% by card, with about 48 hours for review. Containers are not permitted on arterials nor generally along collectors, must fit within a parking lane at least 20 feet from any corner, alley or entrance, may stay up to 180 days, and never block a sidewalk, tree lawn, travel lane or alley (County Policy sec. C).
Arapahoe County part: we found no Arapahoe County permit for a dumpster on a county road, so there the container goes on your driveway or property. Our crew confirms the spot with you at drop-off.
Knocking something down: Colorado requires an inspection by a Colorado-certified asbestos inspector and a CDPHE demolition notice ten working days before any demolition starts, homes included, even if no asbestos is found (AQCC Regulation 8). Asbestos never goes in our containers — tell us if the survey finds any.
Summarized from the city's published code and web pages as read in October 2026. Codes change — confirm with the department listed before you rely on it.
How it works
Booking a dumpster in Columbine
Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.
- 1
Call and tell us the job
One short conversation. We ask the location, what you are clearing — a cleanout, a renovation, a roof, a yard, a job site — roughly how much there is, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us.
- 2
We size it and quote it flat
You get one number that covers delivery, pickup, disposal, the standard rental period and an included weight allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so. If it is concrete, shingles or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size.
- 3
Delivered where you want it
The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site where you asked, on a hard surface rather than the lawn. Often same-day or next-day, depending on availability. You do not need to be home.
- 4
Load it on your schedule
Keep it below the top edge and keep the banned items out — paint and solvents, chemicals, oil and fuel, batteries, tires, propane tanks and gas cylinders, medical waste, asbestos, and TVs, computers and other electronics. Need more time or a swap mid-job? One call.
- 5
We haul it and dispose of it right
The load is covered or secured and goes to an approved facility, with metal, concrete, cardboard and yard debris recycled through local Colorado facilities whenever possible. You get your driveway back the way you left it.

Local answers
Dumpster rental in Columbine — common questions
Is Columbine the same as Columbine Valley?
No. Columbine is an unincorporated Census-designated place, mostly in Jefferson County. Columbine Valley is a separate incorporated town where the Town is the sole agency for waste collection, and we do not serve it.
Is Columbine same-day?
Same-day or next-day, depending on availability — it is about 25 minutes from the yard. Call (720) 370-8548 early in the day for the best chance.
Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Columbine?
On a Jefferson County street, yes: a $50 County container permit, in the parking lane, at least 20 feet from corners, and never on an arterial. A driveway is the simple spot.
My address says Littleton. Am I in Columbine?
Possibly. Many Columbine homes have Littleton mailing addresses but sit in unincorporated Jefferson County. We check the jurisdiction before we quote.
